Join us at The Ripe Tomato in Ballston Spa as we welcome Christy Williams from Explore Learning. Simulations have come a long way from simple digital observations of a phenomenon to engage students in variable manipulation and “what-if” experimentation, built-in data collection and analysis, and even career exploration as students place themselves into professional roles as they complete investigations. Christy will delve into how simulations enhance the science classrooms for all learners from advanced to at-risk students. Christy works closely with the content creators of Gizmos to bring meaningful simulations to students. Come and check out what is on the horizon of simulations in the classroom as EdTech Companies work to improve student engagement, accessibility for our at-risk students, and assessment tools to meet the needs of the NGSS classroom.
Pub Science events are FREE (except for any food or drink you purchase) at various locations around the Capital Region. Join us for a casual conversation and presentation and earn professional development time (2 CTLE hours) simultaneously!
