What Flows Downstream - Barbara Brabetz

Barbara will discuss what has been learned about combined sewer overflows (CSO), run-off and the Mohawk River’s water quality. Through her ongoing research she conducts testing the Mohawk River for fecal contamination from Rome to Albany with the aim of evaluating its water quality and identifying potential sources of contamination.

Barbara Brabetz is an Associate Professor in the Natural Science & Mathematics Department at S.U.N.Y. Cobleskill. In 2009, she was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Barbara is also the Board Chair of the Landis Arboretum and a regular guest on National Public Radio's WAMC’s Vox Pop Science.
