EASTERN SECTION
SCIENCE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION OF NEW YORK STATE

A Night at the Aquarium

  • May 31, 2017
  • 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • 93 W Campbell Rd, Schenectady, NY 12306

Join us at Via Aquarium in Rotterdam, NY to learn about all the aquarium has to offer students and teachers alike. A visit to the Aquarium is your students’ passport to discovering the world’s aquatic biodiversity. With thousands of creatures on display, a visit to Via Aquarium will engage your students’ senses. In addition to the spectacular view from the underwater tunnel, you can get up close with the sealife at the interactive touch tank or the augmented reality sandbox. With so much to see and experience, you will take learning beyond the classroom and into a new underwater world. Admission is free but space is limited to 30 and we can only offer this event to teachers that are part of the Eastern Section of STANYS.

Pub Science events are FREE (except for any food or drink that you purchase) and held monthly at various locations around the Capital Region. Join us for a casual conversation and presentation and earn professional development time (2 hours) at the same time!

Schedule:

4:15p-4:30p : Gathering and introduction in the auditorium

4:30p-6:30p : Exploration of the exhibit space

The Eastern Section is a regional chapter of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS).
