Join the STANYS Eastern Section on January 24th from 6-8 pm as we explore the relationship between the honeybees and our environment with Adam Prescott of Blue Doors Apiary. He will discuss the effect of the decline of pollinators on our food security. Adam will also focus on the revival of honey and the modern labels attached to honey products. Adam Prescott of Blue Doors Apiary is a hobbyist keeping bees at his home apiary since 2016. He currently lives in Ballston Spa with his wife, who is a science teacher and their two children. He came to New York by way of the US Navy Nuclear Power Propulsion Program, serving in the US Navy from 2002 until 2012. Since then he works for GE as an engineering instructor. He holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior College and is currently pursuing an M.B.A through Clarkson University. Pub Science events are FREE (except for any food or drink that you purchase) and held monthly at various locations around the Capital Region.
