Fall Conference Keynote Speaker Announcement

We are excited to announce that Dr. Kathleen Dunn, an esteemed Professor of Nanoscale Science & Engineering at the University at Albany, SUNY, will be the keynote speaker for this year’s Eastern STANYS Fall Conference. Dr. Dunn is widely recognized for her expertise in materials science, particularly her groundbreaking work in electron microscopy and atomic-scale materials engineering. Her contributions to the field have earned her prestigious accolades, including the IBM Faculty Award and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, reflecting her outstanding academic leadership and research excellence​.

With a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Dunn has built an impressive career focused on understanding and manipulating materials at the atomic level to develop desirable properties. Her keynote address promises to provide fascinating insights into the world of nanotechnology and its far-reaching applications. Attendees can expect to gain valuable knowledge on the latest advancements in nanoscale science, as well as Dr. Dunn’s perspective on how these innovations can be applied to educational practices.
